Food and Lodging
Our goal is to make it as easy and affordable as possible for families to attend the Scripture Fest. Read below for the details of meal and lodging options.
Meal Provisions
Lunches during Scripturefest 2024 will be on your own. We found from other Scripturefest events, doing lunches this way allows for more fellowship time and quicker clean up. Families can bring picnic style lunches or bring crock pots and use the kitchen area for prep. There are also local food establishments within walking distance for those who wish to use that option. There is a large eating area in the church for your use as well as grassy areas to sit outside. Lunch times will, we hope, provide extra time for both fellowship and the viewing of the large travelling Bible Museum that will be available this year.
Dinners will be included as our gift to you. Water will also be provided for all mealtimes.
Friday - Mexican Buffett with gluten free and vegetarian options available.
Saturday - Pizza and Salad with gluten free options available.
Saturday night - Dessert and water will be provided at the hymn sing/square dance venue.
We ask that everyone please keep all food and beverages in the fellowship/eating area in the basement of the church. Please no food or drinks (except water) in the sanctuary or other carpeted areas in the church. Little ones needing a snack can be led to the eating area or to an outside area as needed, to have snacks.
Lodging
We live in a rural community making nearby host lodging minimal. However, we do have several nearby hotels that are quite reasonable and we will research rates with them for your stay if you are coming from a longer distance. (See list below). With a quick search you'll also find several cute bread and breakfast style places to stay in the area, with beautiful views.
While we don't have hosting homes currently available (or at least very few), we believe we will have limited "scholarships" available to those who would like to attend but require assistance with lodging for either large or small families. These will be provided upon request so please contact us if lodging is a burden for your family. Our goal is to make it affordable so all who wish to attend are able to do so. But do know that these options have some limits and will be provided on a case by case basis and first-ask-first-serve!
